People in the Spartan community know what a TRIFECTA is, but if you have never done a Spartan race, you may have no idea what everyone is on about. The Spartan TRIFECTA comprises of 3 sections, each section being gained by completing a Spartan event. The complete TRIFECTA is gained when you finish all three Spartan distances within a single calendar year. Here’s how you get them.
Spartan Sprint
This is the easiest race of the three needed for the TRIFECTA. This is the shortest Spartan event and is perfect for all ability types. Great fun for first time Spartans as the distance is short but you get all of the great obstacles. Perfect for Spartan veterans as you can really test yourself and see how fast you can complete the race. Complete a 5-7km course and you will receive the red section of the medal.
Spartan Super
This race nets you the second section of the TRIFECTA. The blue piece of the medal is gained by completing the Spartan Super which generally is 12-15km long. This is the perfect balance between first timers and the hardcore Spartan. More endurance needed but a great test for all Spartans.
Spartan Beast
The event that is no joke and shouldn’t be taken lightly. This is the third section to completing the Spartan TRIFECTA. The green that represents the Beast is every veteran Spartan’s big challenge. These races can be anywhere from 20-26km long. The distance is enough to have you completely exhausted not to mention all of the obstacles along the way. A massive achievement for any obstacle course racer and your key to becoming part of the Spartan TRIFECTA Tribe!
